Monitor and manage your marine vessel’s battery health effortlessly with the LinkUp Intelligent Battery Sensor Kit from Veratron. Designed specifically for 12V systems, this advanced sensor provides real-time insights into your battery’s status, ensuring reliable engine starts and optimal operation of onboard utilities.
Advanced Battery Monitoring for Your Boat
Batteries are the lifeblood of your boat, powering everything from engine starts to essential onboard systems. With Veratron’s Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), you can easily keep track of your batteries’ status and health in real-time, preventing unexpected failures and optimizing energy usage.
Seamless Integration with Marine Networks
The LinkUp IBS integrates effortlessly with OceanLink, AcquaLink, or any NMEA 2000-networked display, ensuring compatibility with the latest glass cockpit systems. The included Veratron LinkUp Gateway Module connects the Intelligent Battery Sensor to the NMEA 2000 network, featuring internal galvanic isolation to comply with NMEA requirements and ensure reliable performance.
Comprehensive Battery Data
Veratron’s Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS) tracks vital battery parameters such as voltage, current, and temperature. It also provides insights into the state of charge, health, and functionality of your batteries. This comprehensive data allows you to plan your energy usage effectively and stay informed about potential issues before they become critical.
Flexible Monitoring Capabilities
The IBS system is versatile, capable of monitoring a single battery or an entire bank. You can use multiple LinkUp kits to obtain data specific to house, starter, and system-specific supplies. It is compatible with 12V starter, gel, or AGM battery types, making it a suitable choice for various marine applications.
Easy Installation
Installing the IBS is straightforward. The sensor clamps onto the negative pole terminal of your battery and is completely sealed to ensure durability in marine environments. It features a watertight 3A inline fuse within the housing for added safety. The sensor connects to the NMEA 2000 backbone through the innovative LinkUp Gateway Module, enabling seamless communication with Veratron’s extensive range of sensors.
Simple Configuration
Configuring your LinkUp Gateway is hassle-free using a mobile device and the companion Veratron app, available on the App Store and Google Play. Each module comes with a built-in passive wireless antenna, allowing you to set sensor parameters such as type, instance, and warning thresholds by simply tapping your mobile device against the LinkUp device for instant data download.
Alternatively, LinkUp devices can be configured via NMEA 2000 using the PC Configuration Tool, which also allows for real-time reading of analog signals. An LED on the device will illuminate to indicate that the LinkUp is being configured.
